Trump Shocks Again With Late-Night Tweet Taking Aim at Heidi Cruz

Cruz fires back: "real men don't attack women"

Republican front-runner Donald Trump shocked the political world again Wednesday night, retweeting an image that took aim at the looks of 2016 rival Ted Cruz's wife.

The Internet meme retweeted by Trump said there was "no need" for the billionaire to "spill the beans" on Heidi Cruz because an image of her was "worth a thousand words."

Cruz quickly responded, firing back a tweet at Trump that said "real men don't attack women."

The war about the two candidates' wives reached new heights on Tuesday.

Trump warned Cruz in an ominous message that if the Texas senator wasn't "careful," he would "spill the beans" on his wife. In a rare solo news conference Wednesday, Heidi Cruz dismissed the threat, explaining that "most of the things Donald Trump says have no basis in reality."
