A World War II veteran had "one of the best days of his life" when a group of Navy chief selects showed up outside his California home.
Ernest Thompson, who is now in his 90s, gave salute to the service members singing "Anchors Aweigh" on the street outside his home in Gardena, California.

Thompson served on the USS Missouri but hasn't been to the ocean vessel for a while. So the Navy thought, "Why not bring the ship to him?" KCOP-TV reported.
As the Navy service members finished their performance, they lined up in Thompson's driveway and shook the veteran's hand, one by one, to thank him for his service.
