A picture of one black police officer’s emotional moment during riots in Charlotte, North Carolina, has gone viral.
The photo of a black police officer shedding a tear during protests in the city was circulated on Twitter:

And on Facebook:
Riots erupted in Charlotte after police fatally shot Keith Scott. Police said Scott was armed and considered dangerous. His family said he was holding a book, not a gun. Police said no book was recovered at the scene.
Scott’s family has called for peaceful protests in the wake of his death.
