As Trump closed in on victory, outspoken liberal Alec Baldwin shared his thoughts on Twitter

Outspoken liberal Alec Baldwin wasn't exactly full of surprises — given the actor's well-known disdain for conservatives and Republicans — as Donald Trump was cruising to victory in the 2016 presidential election.

Baldwin shared a pair of @ABFoundation tweets late Tuesday: "I was taught in college that Americans choose their President like they choose laundry soap, w a knee-jerk brand loyalty devoid of reason" and "One thing that is changed forever in this country is the meaning of the word 'Christian' as it applies to politics."

Baldwin also tweeted from his @ABFoundation account: "The billionaire Republican businessman is close to winning the race and world markets are crashing. He's all yours, America. He's all yours."

CNN noted that Baldwin in 2012 changed his main Twitter account to @ABFoundation and then opened an @AlecBaldwin account.

Baldwin has gained attention recently for his portrayals of Trump on "Saturday Night Live," often opposite Kate McKinnon's Hillary Clinton.

But now that Trump preps to move into the Oval Office next January, it's anyone's guess if Baldwin will want his gig impersonating the president-elect for another four years.
