The Ohio State University Department of Public Safety website reports that there is an active shooter on campus.
Ohio State University campus police also sent out an active shooter alert at 9:56 AM Eastern time.
People are being urged to take cover and avoid the area if possible.
The official Twitter account for OSU Emergency Management also tweeted out the following:
