Greg Gutfeld considers the possibility of President Oprah or President Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
November 28, 2016
Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld discussed the possibility of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory paving the way for “celebrity presidents” to become the new normal during his program “The Greg Gutfeld Show” on Saturday evening.
“While Barack Obama was the first black president, Donald Trump [will be] the first entertainment president,” Gutfeld said. “And if that’s not trailblazing, I don’t know what is.”
After joking that Oprah Winfrey would “save Detroit” if she continued to give away cars as president and noting that actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has discussed the possibility of a White House bid, Gutfeld argued that other celebrities must be annoyed that “Trump pulled it off before they did.”
“So maybe in 2020, you will see this merging of the performer and the political,” he added, arguing that “fame trumps everything.”
