If you've ever checked out the Twitter trail of "Avengers" director Joss Whedon, you might conclude he doubles as a Democratic attack man.
Because for a number of months, Whedon has been launching assault after assault against Donald Trump — during his campaign, after the presidential election and since the Republican took the oath of office last month.
But could that all be ending? Perhaps just for a short spell, even?
Whedon on Tuesday offered this confessional tweet, saying, "I think I'm broken":
I think I'm broken I never ran smooth but I think I'm really broken, I'm sorry, I was funny for a while, good times, please keep fighting— Joss Whedon (@Joss Whedon) 1486489718.0
He added that, "I never ran smooth but I think I'm really broken, I'm sorry, I was funny for a while, good times, please keep fighting."
Now, Whedon doesn't specifically say what apparently has got him down, but a number of concerned Twitter users picked up the vibe that he's throwing in the progressive political towel over Trump dismantling Obama strongholds at a breakneck pace:
But other users reacted to the tweet, shall we say, differently:
