Two North Texas parents who surprised their young daughters with a new adopted baby sister are getting much more attention than they expected after their video of the surprise went viral this week.
Pastor Shane Pruitt and his wife, Kasi, of Rowlett shared the heartwarming video on Facebook last week, explaining that they had received a call with a sudden adoption opportunity. After praying about it, the couple brought the new baby home the very next day.
“Our kids had no clue, and this is how we told them about their BABY SISTER. Their reactions are priceless!” Shane Pruitt said in the caption, according to KDFW-TV.
Their two oldest daughters, Raygen, 11, and Harper, 6, were standing in the kitchen when the couple walked in with the new baby.
"Are you kidding me?" Harper shrieked. The sisters began jumping gleefully when the couple introduced them to their new baby sister.
"Do you think she’s beautiful?" Pruitt asked his daughters, who were both grinning from ear to ear. "Are y'all going to love her very much?"
"Yes!" the two girls cried back.
The newborn baby, who the Pruitts asked not to be identified by name for privacy reasons, is the third adopted sibling of the two sisters.
Pruitt, who said he is excited to be a family of seven, told ABC News, "If it shines a light on adoption and encourages other families to step up and be foster parents or adopt, then that’s the ultimate win."
