Home rehabilitation star Chip Gaines addressed rumors that he was divorcing his wife Joanna, his co-star on the show, on his Twitter account Friday.
"Won't ever happen," he tweeted, "you can take that to the bank!"
Won't ever happen.. you can take that to the bank! #loveOfMyLife https://t.co/tK3kkT6k3e— Chip Gaines (@Chip Gaines) 1501899049.0
He added a hashtag referring to Joanna as the "love of my life."
The tweet was in response to a fan who was also knocking down the rumors.
"I'm so sick of these 'stories' claiming [Joanna Gaines] and [Chipper Gaines] breaking up," the tweet read. "Leave this couple alone they are wonderful together."
The Gaines have hosted their hit show "Fixer Upper" on HGTV since 2013. They are outspoken Christians, which led to some controversy when Buzzfeed attempted to "expose" the politically incorrect views of the pastor whose church they attend.
While an online mob demanded HGTV end the show because the Gaines' pastor taught that homosexuality is a sin, they were able to weather the storm.
The popular show has recently garnered an Emmy nomination for "Best Structured Reality Program."
Today is a good day for an #Emmy nomination! Congrats #FixerUpper, up for Best Structured Reality Program!… https://t.co/rlYmNCxyjJ— HGTV (@HGTV) 1499963581.0
