Roger Stone predicts a Trump impeachment would lead to violence and civil war

Former Trump adviser Roger Stone on Wednesday said a civil war would ensue if politicians moved to impeach President Donald Trump, TMZ reported.

"The people who are calling for impeachment are the people who didn't vote for him. They need to get over it. They lost," Stone told TMZ during an interview at Los Angeles International Airport. "Their candidate [Hillary Clinton] had every advantage. She spent $2 billion. He spent $275 million. Sorry. He whipped her ass."

According to Stone, those who try to impeach Trump would create "a spasm of violence in this country like you’ve never seen," especially because both sides are "heavily armed."

Stone said that, unlike 1974, the American people won't stand for an impeachment. (In 1974, the House Judiciary Committee recommended that Richard M. Nixon be impeached  and removed from office after the political scandals involving Watergate.)

"A politician who votes for it [impeachment] would be endangering their own lives," Stone said. "There will be violence on both sides. Let me be clear: I'm not advocating violence but I'm predicting it."

The reported asked, "You're predicting that if he got impeached that there would be some sort of Civil War-type—."

"Yes, I do. I think that's what will happen," Stone interrupted.
