Some residents in Calvert County, Maryland, are offended by a pro-Trump billboard owned by a local man, and police have asked him to take it down, the Baltimore Sun reported.
"There's two groups that are offended," Calvert County Police Capt. Dave Payne said. "We've received messages that say it's offensive that it's up ... it's offensive that he's being pressured to take it down. We can't win. We're in the middle."
What does the billboard say?
The billboard, posted near an intersection, reads: "Hey liberals, better get your guns if you try to impeach Trump. From all your deplorables in Calvert County."
Local authorities say the message has probably been on the billboard for a few weeks, and that the man changes it regularly, often posting politically charged messages.
"He changes it every so often," Payne told the Sun. "He tends to have something controversial. This one [seems] to be most controversial."
Calvert County Sheriff Mike Evans told the Sun that the man is out of town right now but will change the sign when he gets home later this week.
The billboard is just now getting widespread attention, particularly after the anti-Trump Facebook group "Lock Him Up" posted it. Users have shared that picture more than 11,000 times.
How likely is a Trump impeachment?
Although liberal politicians have launched various efforts throughout President Donald Trump's term to impeach him, none have had solid justification and none have gained any significant momentum.
Most recently, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), tweeted that Trump should be impeached for his decision to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal.
"Trump, further isolating the United States, thinks he knows better than our negotiators and all of our global allies who agreed to the Iran deal," Waters tweeted Wednesday evening. "How long do we have to suffer his gigantic ego and narcissistic behavior? Impeachment is the only answer.
