Admitted pedophile eligible to run for Congress thanks to former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe

An admitted pedophile who spent more than a year in federal prison for threatening to assassinate former President George W. Bush is eligible to make a run for Congress this year due to a decision made by former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D), a close ally of the Clintons.

What are the details?

Nathan Larson, who is running as an Independent candidate for Virginia's 10th congressional district, expressed pro-pedophile, pro-incest views in an interview with the Huffington Post this week.

He bragged to HuffPo that he's a pedophile who raped his ex-wife and fantasizes about having sex with children, including infants and his 3-year-old daughter. He also claimed it's "normal" for adult men to be attracted to underage girls.

"A lot of people are tired of political correctness and being constrained by it. People prefer when there’s an outsider who doesn’t have anything to lose and is willing to say what’s on a lot of people’s minds," Larson explained.

In 2008, Larson sent the Secret Service a letter expressing his desire to kill then-President Bush, why he planned to kill the president and how he planned to carry out the assassination. He pled guilty to criminal charges and spent 14 months in prison.

Under typical Virginia law, Larson's felony conviction would prevent him from running for political office. But thanks to McAuliffe, Larson is eligible to run for office.

In 2016, the Democratic governor restored voting rights and other civil rights to 13,000 convicted Virginia felons, including Larson.

Anything else?

More from Fox News:

Larson has written frequently on so-called “incels” -- people who have struggled with being “involuntary celibate.” HuffPo said Larson confirmed writing online posts – they've since been taken down -- titled “Advantages of Father-Daughter Incest” and “The Justifiability of an Incel’s Kidnapping a Girl and Keeping Her as His Rape-Slave for Sex and Babymaking.”

In its story, the news organization said Larson was open about his pedophilia, but claimed he has never committed any crimes. It also uncovered an online post in which Larson expressed a desire to have sex with his daughter, though he doubted it would happen because he doesn’t have custody. He told the outlet he has a 3-year-old daughter who lives with relatives.

Larson has also described Adolf Hitler as a "white supremacist hero."
