Wild police bodycam video shows Ohio cop getting plowed by stolen vehicle, firing shots at suspect from hood of the car

Intense bodycam video from Ohio shows the moment that a police officer was rammed by a car, flipped to the hood, and fired shots as the vehicle raced on a wild ride.

On Wednesday afternoon, Columbus police officers attempted to make a traffic stop on a 2015 Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen from Lancaster, Ohio.

Police cruisers raced through a neighborhood to pull over the stolen car. The vehicle stopped at a gas station and did circles. Police gave the driver verbal commands to stop and show her hands, but she disobeyed. Police placed spike strips at the exits of the gas station.

Police bodycam video shows an officer approaching the stolen vehicle with his gun drawn. The Columbus police sergeant orders the driver to stop, but she instead puts the car in reverse.

The dramatic police bodycam footage reveals the sudden moment that the woman slams on the gas and plows into the officer. He flips to the hood of the car and fires 12 shots into the windshield and hood of the vehicle.

The sergeant managed to stay on the speeding car for a few seconds before tumbling onto the road. The runaway vehicle crashed into two cars stopped at a red light down the road.

The driver, Holly Graham, suffered a gunshot wound to both of her upper thighs and one to her lower torso.

According to the Columbus Dispatch, "As officers start to assess Graham's injuries and apply tourniquets to each of her legs, Graham asks repeatedly for her water, which she says is in the center console of the car."

Graham reportedly said, "If you're trying to help me, water is the best for it."

"I didn't (expletive) mean to hit the mother (expletive)," Graham is heard saying, according to the outlet.

The 32-year-old allegedly said, "Does anybody have an (expletive) cigarette? For real, does anybody have a cigarette?"

Graham was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.

WSYX confirmed, "Either late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning, Graham was in custody on a warrant from 2020."

Graham was charged with felonious assault on a police officer.

The police sergeant was taken to a hospital, but was released Friday. His identity has not been released, but he has worked for for the Columbus police for 10 years.
