Traffic camera video caught the moment a driver appeared to bolt from a traffic stop and intentionally run down a Florida Highway Patrol trooper late last month.
Trooper Arsenio Caballero is seen in the video speaking to a driver in a dark-colored SUV on a Florida Turnpike exit ramp in Hollywood on May 25, WFOR-TV reported.

That motorist soon drives away, and Caballero walks toward the exit ramp's shoulder.

Suddenly a driver in a white BMW 6 Series with a temporary tag who'd been pulled over in a traffic stop by another state trooper is seen peeling away — and heading directly toward Caballero.

The clip shows the driver plowing into the trooper, who lands on the car's hood and flips over the roof as the vehicle takes off from the scene.

Caballero was hospitalized but is home now recovering, the station said, adding that he's been with the Florida Highway Patrol for a year.

The BMW was found abandoned a few days later, WFOR reported, adding that police are still looking for the driver.
