President Donald Trump has been under fire as more details of his campaign’s odd connections with Russia emerge. Donald Trump, Jr. on Tuesday revealed emails documenting his willingness to work with a foreign entity to influence the 2016 election, and the discovery has since dominated the news. But can Republicans actually take advantage of this distraction to pass conservative legislation?
The Republican majority in Congress should let the news cycle stay distracted with the Trump-Russia investigation and focus on the task at hand: passing tax reform, immigration reform and measures to strengthen border security, Stu Burguiere said on Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.”
The best thing Republicans can do is get bills to Trump, who will sign them if he is persuaded that they will help his chances in 2020.
“Send all of them. Pass all of these things,” Stu said. “Trump will sign them.”
“Pass tax cuts,” Glenn Beck added. “Real tax cuts. Aggressive tax cuts.”
