In the wake of the Las Vegas shooting, people have been calling for gun control reform and sharing a lot of “facts” about guns. But how do you sort out what’s real and what’s not?

Caller Dave from Oklahoma talked about firearms, bump stocks and the gun debate based on his 30 years in law enforcement on today’s show. Pat and Jeffy took calls while sitting in for Glenn.

Are fully automatic weapons legal? What does a “bump stock” do, and should the device be banned? What kind of weapon was the Las Vegas gunman likely using? Pat and Dave sorted through some of the big questions everyone has been asking.

“Just be careful about listening to these armchair experts,” Dave said, encouraging people to question everything and figure out the facts for themselves. “The devil’s in the details. … Accept nothing at face value.”
