War: Is North Korea next?

On “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson,” Doc Thompson gave a breakdown of tensions between the US and North Korea, which have escalated following the missile strike on Syria.

Since former President Barack Obama didn’t back up any of his warnings to North Korea with military force, Doc argued that North Korean President Kim Jong Un believes the same rules still apply with a new Administration.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has said that military force is “on the table” if North Korea continues to expand its nuclear weapons program. When asked this week if the U.S. missile strike on Syria was a warning to North Korea, Tillerson said, "In terms of North Korea, we've been very clear that our objective is a denuclearized Korea peninsula."

Doc detailed the international situation near North Korea, where tensions have been rising. The US moved a carrier strike group from Syria to North Korea, shifting the Carl Vinson strike group to the western Pacific ocean near the Korean peninsula. A US official has confirmed that the move was a show of force.

North Korea and its dictator, Kim Jong-un, have long felt like a threat to democratic nations. But Doc talked about why North Korea should be the country running scared.

“If they use one of those nuclear weapons, North Korea is done. That country will be erased. If they launch a nuclear missile on Japan, South Korea or America – what do you think is going to happen? Are we going to stick around for them to launch another one, hear them out? No. It’s over. They gotta know that, as crazy as they are.”
