Drag queens are the new face of the Navy

Drag queens are the new face of the Navy

In an effort to boost sinking recruitment numbers, the U.S. Navy has appointed a non-binary drag queen, Harpy Daniels, as a “digital ambassador.”

According to a survey done in 2022, only 13% of 18- to 29-year-old youths are willing to join the military.

However, the Navy's recruitment efforts are not being received well, especially by Pat Gray of "Pat Gray Unleashed."

“Why would some guy in a dress, a wig, and 12 tons of makeup appeal to anyone considering joining the military?” asks Gray.

“One of the great things about them,” Gray says, referring to Daniels (whose real name is Joshua Kelly), “is he has split personalities.”

They have split personalities,” Gray continues, correcting himself.

According to Gray, “Daniels/Kelly is a self-described advocate for people who were ... ‘oppressed for years in the service.’”

Gray continues — while making sure to use the correct pronouns — “they hopes to continue performing, building safe spaces for queer individuals, and one day make it on "RuPaul’s Drag Race" as one of the first active service members.”

“I mean, this is so ridiculous.” Gray says “They’ve twisted us completely upside down and inside out trying to change our language, change our structure, change our society. The whole civilization’s got to be turned upside and inside out over this trans thing.”

Gray plays a song by the Village People and suggests that they would be better at recruiting youth to the military.

“This is who they should bring back to recruit for the Navy — the Village People. Over a drag queen? Bring in the Village People.”
