Scientist answers Joe Rogan's question honestly & instantly regrets it

Dr. Peter Hotez, a scientist who actively champions the efficacy of vaccines, went on "The Joe Rogan Experience" and was caught off guard by some of Rogan’s questions.

When Rogan asked Hotez if he took care of his immune system outside of medication or if he was “cautious” about his diet, Hotez admitted that he didn’t pay much mind to his own health.

“I’m not as cautious about my diet as I should be. I’m a junk food-aholic,” Hotez said.

“Well, that seems like a terrible thing for your health,” Rogan said, continuing, “that seems ridiculous for someone who works with health.”

Hotez laughed it off, but Rogan wasn’t finished.

“I don’t have to tell you but there’s a large body of data that connects poor diet to a host of diseases. That seems like a crazy decision for a guy in your line of work,” Rogan adds.

“There you go,” Hotez laughs again, “it’s not all brain, it’s something else.”

Hotez also admitted that he doesn’t take vitamins, saying that he doesn’t think they’re needed.

“Hold up, you don’t think they’re needed while you’re eating junk food?” Rogan asks, shocked by Hotez’s response.

“There’s a large body of clinical research on the efficacy of vitamins,” Rogan adds.

Rogan then asks him about essential fatty acids, like fish oil.

“I’m not gonna’ argue with you,” Hotez responds, adding nervously, “you got it over me.”

“But you still need your vaccines,” he adds.

“I’m sure you do, but vaccines aren’t going to prevent cancer,” Rogan calmly shoots back, adding “a lot of these diseases are connected directly to diet.”

“We gotta’ get you healthy buddy. Can’t be pushing only chemicals in injectable forms to facilitate health,” he adds.

Dave Rubin thought the exchange was incredibly interesting, as Hotez had been a regular guest on networks like MSNBC and CNN pushing vaccines for the past three years.

“There you have a doctor who’s, whatever, he’s a little overweight, okay, so be it. But he’s basically telling you he’s addicted to junk food and he doesn’t take vitamins,” Rubin says, adding that during COVID, “we kept asking, 'Why are they not having more nutritionists on? Why are they not having more fitness experts on?'”
