Chuck Grassley calls on AG Jeff Sessions to criminally prosecute Kavanaugh accuser and her lawyer

Last week, on the "Steve Deace Show," the guys discussed a developing story out of D.C. about a letter Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) sent to Attorney General Jeff Sessions requesting the immediate prosecution of Julie Swentick and lawyer Micheal Avenatti.

Grassley said Avenatti and Swetnick may have violated federal laws by presenting Swetnick’s sexual assault allegations against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and then contradicting the claims.

Grassley cited three felony charges, including conspiracy to defraud the U.S. government, material false statements to federal officials, and deliberate obstruction of a federal investigation.

Deace said he will push for Sessions to act should there appear to be any lag time.
