More good news for Trump tax cuts: Unemployment rate is lowest since 2000

Glenn Beck

What's going on?

The last time unemployment was this low, America was arguing over "hanging chads" in the 2000 election.

Tell me more:

Tl;dr ... things are looking up. The unemployment rate dropped to 3.9 percent in April, and the economy added 164,000 jobs. April was the 91st consecutive month with an increased number of jobs, and average earnings are up 2.6 percent year over year.

Glenn's take:

Like the possibility of three North Korea detainees being released, the economy is an issue that is making Trump look too good right now. Don't depend on the media to shout this story from the rooftops.

"You're not going to hear a lot of talk about it because it shows that cutting taxes actually works, cutting regulation helps people get jobs," Glenn said on today's show.
