A Republican candidate for governor in Georgia is launching a "Deportation Bus Tour" to the state's "sanctuary cities" in a campaign stunt that is bound to be controversial.
State Sen. Michael Williams said in a press release his bus tour will "expose how dangerous illegal aliens ruin local economies, cost American jobs, increase healthcare costs and lower education standards.”
His campaign published a video saying this tour would not "be one of those pansy political bus tours."
Wiliams, a former co-chair of President Trump's campaign in Georgia, said that as governor he would work with the federal government's 287(g) immigration program to round up illegal immigrants in this bus "to send them back to where they came from."
These campaign theatrics are "raising eyebrows," WSB-TV's Richard Elliot reported on Twitter.
