Women’s March glorifies cop-killing terrorist Assata Shakur

On Sunday, Women’s March leadership took to social media to celebrate the birthday of a woman on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorist list.

The Women’s March Twitter page congratulated the “revolutionary” Assata Shakur (born as Joanne Chesimard), whom they declared a “sign of resistance” role model to women.

Shakur is a convicted cop-killer who was a leader of the Black Liberation Army (BLA), a militant wing of the Black Panthers. She led a BLA cell that hunted down and killed several New York City police officers. She later shot and killed a New Jersey state trooper before being sentenced to life in prison for her crimes.

Some on the fringe Left see the cop-killing terrorist as a hero because of her political ideology, one that was friendly to communist and ethno-supremacist ideas. Shakur has become a celebrated figure in movements like Black Lives Matter.

Shortly after her conviction, Shakur was broken out of prison in 1979 and escaped to Cuba, where she likely remains.

President Trump has called on the Cuban regime to extradite Shakur so that she can face justice for her crimes, but the Castro regime has not complied with the request.

The Women’s March tribute comes just days after the leftist outfit organized an anti-Second Amendment rally at the headquarters of the National Rifle Association (NRA). Notably, Women’s March leaders contracted armed security for their march from NRA headquarters to the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. The march was led in part by Linda Sarsour, an Islamic supremacist and terrorist apologist who continues to promote anti-Semitic conspiracies.
