WTF MSM!? CNN hires known liar to opine on ‘truth’

“Chilling, Orwellian aspect” …

Clapper on the – LOL – truth … In his daily email, CNN’s Brian Stelter reported that CNN has hired, as an analyst, “President Obama's director of national intelligence James Clapper. On ‘AC360,’ Clapper said there's a ‘chilling, Orwellian aspect’ to Trumpworld's untruthful statements.” Having a known liar opine on the “truth” is the most CNN thing that CNN has ever done.

Shatner the Jewish Nazi …io9, Gizmodo's sci-fi and tech site, tweeted a story about actor William Shatner attacking “snowflakes, social justice warriors, and misandrists.” The Free Beacon’s Alex Griswold noted their choice of pic from a Star Trek episode: “Oh this is cute. Lets use an image of Shatner dressed as a Nazi."

Shatner, along with Leonard Nimoy, is a Jew whose family fled anti-Semitism in Eastern Europe to find a better life in the new world. The episode in question was anti-Nazi.

Hezbollah fights terrorists? … One of the main problems with the media is they believe publicists, to a fault. This apparently includes the Washington Post’s Beirut bureau chief, Liz Sly. Sly tweeted over the weekend: “On tour with Hezbollah in Lebanon, where they're out to show that they, not Trump, are the ones fighting terrorism.” The piece she wrote was entitled, “Hezbollah takes journalists in Lebanon on a tour to prove Trump wrong.” Memo to Sly: Hezbollah is a group of terrorists, which is something you’d think the “Beirut bureau chief” of a major news organization would know.

Conscience …

Bozell slams Flake … From time to time, we’ll discuss other forms of media here. That may be books, film, or television. Today it’s a book by Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., titled “Conscience of a Conservative.” If that title strikes you as familiar, it is because it was the title of a book by Barry Goldwater. The Goldwater book was ghostwritten by L. Brent Bozell Jr. His son, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell, slammed Flake for, one, purporting to be a conservative, and two, for sullying his father’s legacy.

Bravo Tapper … CNN’s Jake Tapper is that rare breed of MSMer who shows some fairness. He did it again this morning. He shared an opinion piece from the LA Times via Twitter: “Remember all those left-wing pundits who drooled over Venezuela? asks @jkirchick in LA Times.”
