A Florida mother has pleaded guilty to shaking her baby son to death after she became upset with the child for crying while she was playing the Facebook game "Farmville."
Alexandra V. Tobias, 22, gave chilling details of the event to police. The Florida Times-Union reports Tobias told investigators that she shook the baby, smoked a cigarette to compose herself, and then shook him again.
However, initially she denied being involved.
"He's only 14 weeks old; he's not breathing," she frantically told a 911 operator, according to local TV station News 4. When investigators arrived, Tobias told them a dog knocked the child off a couch, he hit his head, and then stopped breathing. She later admitted to the murder.
Tobias, who plead guilty to second degree murder of her son, faces 25-50 years in prison. Her son, Dylan Lee Edmondson, was 3-months-old.
"Ever since I found my mother dead, I just haven't been the same," Tobias said during a taped jail call to family.
