Caught on Live TV: Fleeing Suspect Plows Into Semi at Maybe 90mph

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. (WSVN) -- Police have arrested a man who led authorities on a high-speed chase through Miami-Dade and Broward County Wednesday morning.

According to authorities, the man was wanted in a strong armed robbery that happened at 4025 Northwest Fourth Terrace in Miami. As police pursued the suspect, who was driving a blue Ford Expedition, a chase ensued.

The man led police through neighborhoods in the area of Northwest 54th Street and Seventh Avenue, and then he eventually got on Interstate 95 and traveled northbound. The suspect reached speeds of 90 miles an hour as he weaved in and out of traffic.

The chase came to an end when the suspect slammed into the back of a tanker truck as he exited I-95 at Hallandale Beach Boulevard. Authorities swarmed the man's vehicle and quickly took him into custody.
