Is Olbermann Coming Back to MSNBC?

We've all heard rumors that Charlie Sheen and CBS are talking about reconciling, but could it be possible that Keith Olbermann and MSNBC might bury the hatchet and bring Countdown back to the low-rated news outlet?

I have absolutely NO CONFIRMATION from anyone at MSNBC or from Olbermann's people on this theory.  Just a hunch supported by the nightly ratings and a new MSNBC screen on my smart phone app for Sirius/XM.

First the ratings.

When he left MSNBC, Olbermann was rocking the 8pm time slot, regularly topping 1.2 million viewers. Here is a snapshot of the 8pm ratings from January 21, 2011.

Fast forward to last Thursday night and the numbers posted by 'Last Word Larry' O'Donnell.

O'Reilly is steady, even showing some ratings growth and CNN appears to be benefitting from Keith's departure. Despite endless promotion, O'Donnell's numbers (down over 33% from Keith's) can only be seen as anemic and worrisome for the new owners of MSNBC.  Ratings mean money and just as CBS realizes in the Sheen matter, this is show BUSINESS.

Then the other shoe dropped (for me, anyway).

While listening to MSNBC on my smart phone, THIS appeared on my screen.

You must also know that I am using the very latest version of the app, downloaded and installed this past weekend.

Had this happened on April 1st, I might have let it slide.

Remember, you read it on The Blaze - first!
