Who Says What to Whom on Twitter?

We all know Twitter helps people express themselves (in 40 characters or less), but what really keeps the Twitter world going 'round?

Yahoo and Cornell University have collaborated to try and answer this question. In a joint research project, researchers discovered the following key points:

Twitter is a media platform, not a social network.

Twitter is clique-y

Twittter is the Evening News broadcast: full of stories reported elsewhere, brought to your attention by a personality you trust.
