Who is more 'dangerous' - Trump or O'Donnell?

During his nightly rant, MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell decried Donald Trump as a "very dangerous man who must be stopped."

Now, I'm a conservative who believes in free speech, so I would never say Lawrence O'Donnell "must be stopped," but I wonder -- who is the more "dangerous" man?

Donald Trump is clearly a successful business man who has provided thousands of people with jobs and a livelihood. So what exactly is the threat? He's a “very silly man," O'Donnell says, who "fans the flames of hatred in this country."

Danger, Will Robinson!

Is this not exactly what Lawrence O'Donnell does on a nightly basis? What's worse, O'Donnell has his own nationally televised platform from which to spew his disdain for anyone who disagrees with him. As Mediaite points out, O'Donnell's rhetoric "insults the intelligence of his viewers."

Who is more dangerous?

O'Donnell continues:

There is something very ugly in what Donald Trump is doing, and it is built on a base of racism and paranoia. I’m not saying Donald Trump is racist or paranoid; he doesn’t have to be to do the damage he is doing in this country. He just has to be vulgar enough to keep barking out the lies that the racist, paranoid Obama-haters want to hear. And in doing that for them, on major network television talk shows, it legitimizes their feelings, their hatreds, their racism...

As a radically liberal host on a network that has no clear standards of decency, O'Donnell depends on his audience to be ill-informed in order to "keep barking out" his own lies that conservative-haters want to hear.  And in doing that for them, on a major cable news station, it legitimizes their feelings, their hatreds, their racism...
