"It seems very clear that Jesus would be cool with a 39.6 tax bracket for those making over $250,000."
Responding to a question that Rush Limbaugh posed on his show yesterday---"What would Jesus take," tax-wise?---Lawrence O'Donnell said that Jesus would take "everything."
O'Donnell said, "The New Testament does have an answer to Rush's question, 'What would Jesus take?' and it's not one Rush is going to like."
"The answer is everything," O'Donnell said. Speaking about tax brackets, he went on, "not 35 percent, not 39.6 percent. One hundred percent."
Referring---out of context---to a passage in the New Testament, O'Donnell continued, "It seems very clear that Jesus would be cool with a 39.6 tax bracket for those making over $250,000."
