Every so often I head over to unclaimed.org which connects you with state comptroller databases of unclaimed security deposits, judgements, insurance payouts and other funds just sitting there waiting to be claimed by their rightful owners.
While I’ve yet to come up with anything for myself, I’ve managed to locate significant funds for others. It’s great to be able to connect a friend with an old phone company deposit they’d forgotten about.
And now I’ve found a chunk-o-money for Nancy Pelosi:
Nancy, please claim your funds. In this economy, you’ll need them.
