Obama White House: We ALL own the economy

Earlier this week, I was pleasantly surprised to see DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz seemingly taking responsibility for today's faltering national economy. It's been a full 2 1/2 years since George W. Bush ran the show and it's about time Democrats -- who have ruled Congress since 2006 -- started taking some responsibility for the shabby state of affairs. But leave it to the Obama White House to continue to peg the blame on others -- like you.

Instead of acknowledging that they can no longer blame Bush, Obama press secretary Jay Carney now says Democrats aren't responsible for the economy -- we all are:

Responding to DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s comment that Democrats “own” the economy, Carney offered: “We all own the economy. We all work together in Washington to devise policies to improve the economic situation.”

That's funny -- when it was politically viable for the Obama administration to blame President Bush, they had no problem pointing the finger.  Now that that's no longer possible and Americans are seeing what Obama's "hope & change" really looks like, we suddenly all own the economy?

Nice try.
