Former ambassador dies; In lieu of flowers, send political donations to...

Former ambassador to Luxembourg and Republican National Committee finance chairman Peter Terpeluk Jr. was extremely active in GOP campaign fundraising efforts. Terpeluk passed away yesterday, reportedly of a heart attack while en route to meetings in Austin for the campaign of Texas Gov. Rick Perry. In addition to the announcement of his passing and funeral arrangements, a death notice in the Washington Post reads:

"In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Perry for President 2012."

A man dedicated to his cause indeed. According to National Journal's obituary on Ambassador Terpeluk, he was a fundraiser for Perry. And it seems he remains one.
