"The beetle maggots are grown on an insect farm in California, and are USDA approved."
You've brought the family to the State Fair and after a long day of bouncing from booth to booth in the hot sun, there is nothing like a freshly-grilled Maggot Sandwich to refuel your system and silence hunger pangs.
The Maggot Sandwich is not something served to castaways on "Survivor." The combination of grilled maggots on a bun are the invention of food cart owner "Jungle" George Sandefur of "Jungle George's Exotic Meats & Bugs."
This past weekend, George brought his culinary delights to Pueblo, Colorado. The Associated Press was on the scene to cover the story AND sample the freshly grilled treats.
Maggots... Yum yum, give me some!
