700 Pound iPod Dock Will 'iNuke' Your Ears

"...base that shakes your insides..."

Most iPod users who an iPod dock keep it tucked nicely on an end table in their living room for the moment when the need for musical entertainment strikes. But new iPod dock by Behringer couldn't even be the end table. With its more than 700-pound and 8x4x4 foot size, it would be better suited as a pub height dining room table or conference table with an iPod sticking out of it.

Behringer's iNuke Boom was introduced at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Behringer describes the dock as providing "concert quality sound," but the price of the dock is like that of attending $29,999.99 worth of concerts.

The iNuke Boom works with iPods, iPads and iPhones. Here's more about the iNuke Boom and its technology:

MacWorld reports Behringer's Costa Lakoumentas as saying there are already some orders for the iNuke Boom, but that "it's not for everyone." Inside the iNuke Boom are dual 18 inch subwoofers that take up to 3,000 watts of power each.

Lakoumentas says to get it into your house or venue, you must have double doors -- or be prepared to take out a wall.
