Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum was in Colorado, not Nevada, Saturday night to see his disappointing fourth-place finish in the Silver State's Republican caucuses. With a Nevada win eminent for former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, a still optimistic Santorum told CNN that he expects to do better Tuesday when caucuses will be held in Minnesota and Colorado, as well as the Republican primary in Missouri:
"If you're a swing voter, who are you going to believe?" Santorum said to a crowd packed into a hotel ballroom in Colorado's Western Slope earlier in the day. "America is not looking for well-oiled weather vanes. They are looking for leaders."
The Associated Press reports that Santorum will head to Minnesota late Saturday where he has planned a full day on Sunday, including a church visit and a stop at the factory that produces the sweater vests his campaign sells for $100 each to raise money.
Since winning the first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucuses, Santorum has placed fifth in New Hampshire, third in South Carolina, third in Florida and fourth in Nevada.
