One of America's Most Beloved Presidents...Was a Vampire Hunter? Watch the Trailer!

Hitting the big screen this summer.

A few summers ago "mash-up" genre novels seemed to be all the rage. First Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, then Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, and then Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter. The heroic rendition portrays America's Sixteenth President not only as the liberator of enslaved African-Americans, but also as a skilled killer of Vampires. The popular 2010 book is set to hit the big screen this summer as an epic 3D blockbuster. 20th Century Fox has released the film's first trailer and, as expected, it looks awesome:

The novel claims to be based on the "secret diaries" of the first Republican president, and IMDb's one sentence description of the film's storyline reads; "Lincoln's mother is killed by a supernatural creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning helpers."

I'm in.

The film stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Mary Todd Lincoln, Dominic Cooper as vampire killing mentor Henry Sturgess, and newcomer Benjamin Walker as honest Abe.
