Jersey Shore 2012: Chris Christie Comes Face to Face With Boardwalk Critic

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has made his short but notable career as an honest, tough legislator, not afraid of a fight. Video released by TMZ Friday reveals that the governor will step to not only in Trenton, but also on the Jersey Shore's infamous Seaside Heights boardwalk. TMZ video from Thursday night shows the governor raising the tone of his voice at, and coming face to face with a fellow New Jersey passerby that reportedly "fired off snide comments about Christie's policy on education."

"You're a real big shot" the governor bellows as he approaches the heckler in the video, ice cream cone in hand. "Shut your mouth," someone possibly in the governor's entourage is heard saying. "Keep walking away," the governor says with a hand extended towards the critic.

Governor Christie appeared to shortly shrug off the altercation though, as the video shows him posing for a picture only seconds after the heated standoff.

The potential Republican running mate made similar news last Saturday when he called a reporter an “idiot” for asking an off-topic question during a press conference. During a town hall in March, Governor Christie called a former Navy SEAL an “idiot” and told him to “shut up," later saying he had “no regrets at all” about the exchange.
