Scott Brown may be headed back to the U.S. Senate

The latest poll out of Massachusetts has some good news for former Republican Sen. Scott Brown who lost his reelection bid to progressive heroine Elizabeth Warren last November. Although Brown hasn't signaled that he'd make another run for the office, a MassInc Polling Group survey released Friday shows him with a commanding lead over his potential Democratic challengers in the race to fill Sen. John Kerry's vacated seat.

In a head-to-head matchup with Democrat Rep. Ed Markey, Brown leads 53-31. Whereas a generic Democratic ballot closes the gap, it's not enough: Brown sill leads with 44 to 36 percent support.

The poll had a relatively small sample size, but given that his lead is well outside of the margin of error, it seems like Scott Brown -- along with his trusty pickup truck -- may be headed back to Washington.
