Only days after a JC Penney billboard that had many doing a double-take near Los Angeles became a viral hit, the advertisement has been yanked.
As TheBlaze reported yesterday, the billboard off the 405 near Culver City bore an uncanny resemblance to Hitler -- something a Reddit user pointed out this weekend:

By Tuesday, the local media was covering it. Even national personalities like Brett Baier were giving it air time:

But sometime on Tuesday, KCAL-TV reports, the sign was yanked:

And it was done so at the request of the ad agency that put up the billboard:

In fact, the product has also been pulled from JCPenney.com:

However, JC Penney has been mum on why the ad is gone. It's only comment came on Twitter yesterday afternoon to respond to a four-day-old tweet and poke fun at the controversy:
