Can You Spot the Serious Problem With This Nelson Mandela Billboard?

"We should be proud that we were part of an era when they lived."

A billboard dedicated to Nelson Mandela accidentally used a photo of actor Morgan Freeman, leading to worldwide mockery on Thursday. Though the owner of the billboard has vowed to correct the mistake, people aren't letting him off easy.

"The billboard was erected on the side of a road in the southern city of Coimbatore as part of memorials across India and the world to Mandela, who died on December 5," AFP reports.

But instead of Mandela, passersby saw a big photo of Freeman, who some believe looks similar to the anti-apartheid icon.

"We should be proud that we were part of an era when they lived," the Tamil-language billboard reads.

Cloth merchant Chandrashekhar, which paid for the billboard, told AFP that it would "replace it with the correct picture of Mandela." The company was not positive how the error occurred.

Maybe it was because Freeman played Mandela in the 2009 film "Invictus."
