That woman was Chelsea Crawford, who was "slapped in the face" by the whale's tail as she sat on the bow of a boat off the coast of Baja California, Mexico.

"We went whale watching on the Baja this weekend, and unfortunately, Chelsea got smacked in the head by a whale's tail," Crawford's friend Jordyn Rivet wrote on YouTube. "Luckily, she was fine and we got it on video!"

According to MSN New Zealand, the women were whale watching while on a trip with the Canadian charity LiveDifferent.
