Police have not reported any other deaths from the shootings that occurred before daybreak. Six people were taken to a local hospital, where a spokesman says one was taken into surgery with potentially critical injuries. He says several others were able to walk off ambulances when they arrived.
The suspected shooter's identity was not immediately released.
