Two Guys Broke Into a Professional Wrestler's House. When He Came Home, They Were Still There — So He Chased Them Down

"I took him down, I put him in a rear naked choke..."

Burglars probably feel a special fear when they see a homeowner's approaching headlights mid-burglary.

Now just imagine you're robbing the home of a wrestling superstar — and he starts chasing you.

That's what happened to two men this week, one of whom was arrested and one of whom escaped, at the Phoenix home of WWE powerhouse Daniel Bryan, real name Bryan Danielson, the Associated Press reported.

Danielson and his wife, Brianna, were coming home from the airport when they saw their front door opening, the AP reported.

Neighbors had reportedly called 911 to report suspicious activity moments beforehand.

Danielson rushed into the home, concerned primarily for his dog Josie, he said, and witnessed two men flee through the back door.

Danielson caught up with one of the alleged burglars, 22-year-old Cesar Sosa, and, as befits a former WWE champion, he pinned him.

"I took him down, I put him in a rear naked choke, but [I did] not want to hurt him, I just wanted to make sure that he was subdued until the police could come," Danielson said, adding that Sosa "was not in very good shape" so pinning him "didn't take much."

Sosa was arrested and is now facing a burglary charge, the AP reported.

Danielson was able to joke about the incident at a press conference, saying, "They're actually lucky that I got them instead of [my wife] Brie, because she probably would have been a little more violent."

Josie was reportedly unharmed.
