It probably seemed like an easy target: a house containing a 19-year-old woman and her 10-month-old child.
But that woman, Kayla Walker, fought back — in a brutal way.
When a pair of men burst into Walker's Georgia home Tuesday evening, the young mother was caught unawares, and one of the men straddled and began beating her, WALB-TV reported.
The beating was cut short, however, when Walker crushed his testicles.
"I headbutted him, grabbed his privates, and then... I reached up and started choking him," Walker told WALB.
She eventually hit the man with a hammer, then retrieved her shotgun and chased him into the woods. She would have likely blown his head off, she admitted, but her gun was unloaded.
She suffered minor injuries as a result of the invasion, she told WALB, and she made it clear that she was going to defend her home and child, no matter the cost.
Her advice to other women facing home invasions: "Fight back to the fullest, no matter what."
According to WALB, Walker had identified one of the men in a police lineup, though no arrests had been made as of Friday night.
