A North Carolina father has issued a Facebook challenge to any “real men” who are up to the task. Though viral Facebook challenges generally include stunts like pouring a bucket of ice water over your head, Kendell Smith took a drastically different approach.
“I don’t really do Facebook videos or anything like that, but I guess since everyone else is doing a challenge, I figured I should do one too,” he says in a video recently posted on Facebook. “So, this is my challenge… to anyone who wants to accept it — see if you can do this.”

“Be a father. Take care of your kids,” he says. “Be there in their lives and mean something to them.”
The video ends with Smith kissing his adorable, smiling son on the cheek.
It should come as no surprise that his challenge has already been shared over 50,000 on Facebook. Some of the best responses to the post are other dads accepting his challenge and posting photos of their own:
