September 23, 2014
"Explains why I have been subject to extra screening each of my recent trips."
Fox News contributor Stephen Hayes turned to Twitter Tuesday to announce that he was told he's on the federal government's terror watch list.
"Just informed I'm on the @DHSgov terrorist watch list. Explains why I have been subject to extra screening each of my recent trips," Hayes, who is also a senior writer at the conservative Weekly Standard, tweeted to his approximately 164,000 followers.
Just informed I'm on the @DHSgov terrorist watch list. Explains why I have been subject to extra screening each of my recent trips.

Hayes then said he attempted to file a redress with the Department of Homeland Security, but noted the form could not be processed.
Naturally, when I went to file a "redress" form on the @DHSgov website, as instructed, the form could not be processed. #limbo

The Fox News contributor added that he suspected his placement on the list was because of a flight to Turkey in late July.
I suspect I made the list b/c of concerns about #Syria. I took a one-way flight to Turkey in late July (return flight was Athens). @DHSgov
