Arrests Made in Ferguson as Tensions Continue to Flare

Several protesters were arrested in Ferguson Thursday night after police chief Tom Jackson attempted to talk to demonstrators calling for his resignation, KMOV-TV reported.

The exact number of arrested protesters was not known, but according to KMOV, the arrests were made after shoving broke out behind Jackson as he addressed the crowd.

Video appeared to capture the intense scuffle between officers and demonstrators on video.

Earlier in the evening, individuals locked arms and shut down a street.

Jackson had released a video statement Thursday apologizing for his handling of the Michael Brown case.
