Donald Trump said he might launch a lawsuit against a Twitter user who tricked him into retweeting a photo of two British serial killers.
Here's the message Trump retweeted Monday, via the Washington Post:

Trump retweeted the message to his 2.7 million followers before deleting it after realizing the people in the picture were Fred and Rose West, a British couple who raped and tortured multiple young women to death.
Trump responded:
Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT—out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I’ll sue.— Donald J. Trump (@Donald J. Trump) 1412002898.0
I thought I was being nice to somebody re their parents. I guess this teaches you not to be nice or trusting. Sad!— Donald J. Trump (@Donald J. Trump) 1412002913.0
There have been mixed reactions on Twitter. Some of the billionaire's detractors mocked Trump for not identifying the couple, while others, like Piers Morgan, defended him.
The former CNN host tweeted:
Why should @realDonaldTrump have a clue who Fred & Rose West are? Pretty lame stunt to pull on an American.— Piers Morgan (@Piers Morgan) 1412019349.0
