It started out like a typical interview between Ellen Degeneres and Hollywood movie star Jake Gyllenhaal.

At one point, Ellen directed the conversation to the many dark roles and dark films in which Gyllenhaal has appeared.
As he started to explain why those roles interested him, a creature -- which was actually a man dressed as something out of a horror film -- exploded from inside what appeared to be a table between the two chairs on the set.

Gyllenhaal's reaction has already generated over 714,000 hits on YouTube.
